Here's the letter I just sent of to Senator Voinovich of Ohio.I find it deeply upsetting that you would recommend to the Senate that US Diplomat John Bolton not be approved as the United States ambassador to the United Nations.
Since the fall of Communism, the United Nations has become a joke- a circus sideshow. Corrupt powers have continued to outright buy the allegiance of smaller countries within the United Nations, and the UN generally bows to the will of the despotic rabble.
The United States NEEDS a representative like John Bolton representing it in the UN. We need to do what we can to shake up that organization to try to reform it. We need to send a message that we will NOT tolerate Kofi Annan's corrupt mismanagement, that we will NOT tolerate more scandals in the UN- like the UN Oil for Food Scandal and the UN Congo and East Timor Sex Scandals, and we need to send a message that the US does NOT approve of despotic nations like Syria, Iran and Sudan having membership on the UN Human Rights Commission.
I find your NO vote for John Bolton to be a slap in the face to US conservatism, and I will remember it when I make my personal contributions to your competitors in the future. I hope fate ekes out a way for John Bolton to represent us at the UN.
Go shake shit up, John.
