We were all younger when it came out and it was a goofy movie. Supposedly scary but mainly just dumb.
Well one of the "rules" for having one of these fictional furballs was that "you never feed him after midnight."

Midnight. Ok, Sherlock, is that GMT or Eastern time? What if you fly one on a plane from west to east over time zones? What then? Daylight Savings Time? Got an answer for that?
No they don't. Because Hollywood is stupid.
