All went well for a while but a post I put up yesterday brought out a very, very nasty response from the owner of that other blog. And not just on his blog (which is fair game) but in the comments section of mine. This is grounds for divorce so to speak. So I am no longer participating in the Sister Blog program.Dave calls his entry in question 'a post' but we'll refer to it from here on out as 'the trainwreck.'
In what was mostly a tongue-in-cheek commentary on the political blame game...I've noticed that this is some kind of recurring thing with sister blogs. It's like a magical redo 'out' of sorts. Our first sister blog goes on some kind of racists rant against... well everybody and then claims it was satire when we peg it on him. Problem was, it sounded just like all the rest.
Now Dave puts up the trainwreck and when we notify him that it's a full derailment he claims it was 'tongue in cheek'. Well, Dave, guess what? It sounds just as tongue in cheek as some of the other talking points you use. Stick to getting your stuff from Marshall, Drum and Kos & Co. Because when you try it on your own, you get a trainwreck.
I was called an "asshat" [lie (and comment deleted to disallow proof)] and an idiot [your post was idiotic, Dave], told that I lacked sanity [your post lacked sanity, Dave] and that I "couldn't counter an argument... if [my] life depended on it", etc, etc. [Proven beyond a shadow of a doubt, Dave]To be technical I also called the post knee-jerk and Darius said it lacked logic. So using 11thhour reasoning, we called Dave knee-jerk and illogical, too. Justified? You make the call.
Their counter to Darius' pounding them was to call him a troll. Nevermind he doesn't show any signs of internet trolling. He just explains why the post was stupid. And does it pretty politely, in my opinion. Darius is also a contributor here. I'm not sure if Dave was aware of this fact.

One of Dave's friends, Jerome, comments here. It's ironytastic. He says
"Folks, we need to stay focused on the issues, and avoid castigating our opponents."He then proceeds to claim our opinions are "spoon fed to you by Rupert Murdoch & Karl Rove," blow off UN Oil for Food and call Darius a troll.
Yes. You guys stay focused on the huge issues of Karl Rove's Influence o' Doom™, your outstanding position on the GWOT and the downplaying (tongue in cheek, I'm sure) of this excellent economy we're in.
Your stance on the issues keep costing you elections so by all means, stay the course.
The engagement on Dave's comment thread that fateful day was not intended to result in this end. But, alas, that is Dave's right to sever the linking, if he so chooses.
