To that end I've always looked at the news with some skepticism. After all, the best method for controlling the public in today's world is in the way we disseminate information. Cast significant news as though it's really no big deal, and the insignificant as though it is important, and you control the dialogue. After all, in the middle of a financial crisis it's much more important that we talk about the death of Michael Jackson, or Kanye's upstaging of Taylor Swift, rather than focus on the important stuff...
Like major financial figures committing suicide:
- David Kellerman, Fannie Mae, 22 February 2009
- Adolf Merckel, Billionaire Investor, 6 January 2009
- Richard Egan, Billionaire, 29 August 2009 - although health problems may have been the motivator here.

We've had the local issue of Christopher Broughton take center stage inviting Lefties and Righties to try and decide the question of whether or not exercising a Constitutional Right, a natural Right, the Right to protect one's own life, should be allowed within so many yards of a sitting President.
We have the media spending endless hours discussing whether or not Kanye West is a jerk for upstaging Taylor Swift. Apart from the very likely possibility that the circus was probably arranged by their agent - did the news happen to mention that they both have the same agent, and he's staged this kind of thing with Kanye in the past? Short answer, it was probably staged, and he is a jerk. But look at his sales go up since we have so many sheep who will now buy his music again.
We have Fox News, because they can't pull the wool over the eyes of Republicans in the same way that CBS, ABC, NBC, et al, do it to Democrats, telling their viewers all about ACORN, and the corruption that we so obviously know exists within that organization.
Never mind that ACORN is simply a way of distracting us from something else - Republican proposals for Health Care that are every bit as odious as those put forth by the Democrat Party.
Never mind that Kanye, Taylor, and all of the other celebrity BS keeps Democrats and Independents from really paying attention to what is in that Health Care bill, and how that new un-Constitutional tax is going to cost their family more per month than most employer sponsored Health Care plans.
Never mind the real news.
Instead, we'll use news, but distracting, explosive, racially divisive news to keep people in the dark about the real number of lost jobs. Instead, we'll use news, but distracting, alarmist, fear-mongering news about the H1N1 virus to keep people from realizing that doctors are being paid to vaccinate you with an untested, unsafe, unknown vaccine, against a virus that hasn't had any of the impact expected by the WHO - which is why the WHO revised all of their definitions of pandemic downward so that they could call the Swine Flu outbreak something that it isn't.
Wake up people.
Pay attention to the articles on page 19. The news is out there, but the media is giving you headline that is simply a diversion. The real news. The news that matters, is buried.
Put all of that news together, and you have a reason to fear. You'll realize that Democrat or Republican, your leaders and the media are lying to you. For profit.
One good resource that I've found recently, is the No Agenda podcast.
I mean, Rob, James, Diana, and JR are great sources of news that doesn't have a hidden agenda, but Curry and Dvorak manage to get to news that I even have trouble finding from time to time.
With an X-Files eeriness, I have to close this post, but....
The Truth is Out There.
